Q: What makes Cheval Blanc St-Barths stand out from other properties on the island?
Cheval Blanc St-Barths sits on Flamands Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches on the island (in my opinion..). It appears to be rather quiet and private due to there not being any other large properties in the area, and it is the only luxury property on this beach. The location is close enough to the restaurants and ‘party’ scene, but far enough removed to come back and relax in more of a tranquil environment. Something else you can come to expect from Cheval Blanc is their attention to detail. They offer over 70 amenities in each individual room (a fun fact that I love) all of which are signature sent to Cheval Blanc St. Barth.
Q: What is the one thing that clients need to know prior to booking?
Important to note are the options you have to arrive to the island, which includes coming in via Puerto Rico or St Martin. Tradewinds flies from Puerto Rico and flights take about 50 minutes. Winair comes in from St Martin and is only 15 mins.
Q: What was your favorite meal while staying there? Is the food varied for different diets and preferences?
Such a great selection for meals! La Cabane is their breakfast and lunch restaurant, and I personally loved this beautiful spot. The food was incredible, but there is also a really fun lunch scene which includes a little fashion show with their boutique merchandise. It has a light, upbeat atmosphere and the food was perfect for all dietary preferences: they cater to vegans, vegetarians and gluten allergies if needed. La Case is their fine dining restaurant, and this is where I enjoyed my favorite meal. It is open air (like La Cabane), just more upscale. During the weekends they will open La Case for a special brunch menu, so you have two options for lunch. I’d highly recommend the avocado as it’s prepared in a very special way. And, the sand crusted local branzino is a specialty, and cannot be missed!
